In this episode of Saving With Steve, host Steve Sexton is joined by Jackie Woodside, a certified professional coach and licensed psychotherapist with 30 years experience in both fields, and Senator Steve Thayn, Idaho 8th District Senator.

My first guest today is Jackie Woodside, best-selling author of the books, Money Vibe: Your Financial Freedom Formula, Calming the Chaos: Managing Your Energy Rather than Your Time, and Time for a Change, among others. She joins us today to provide insight into how we experience money and why it’s entirely about our inner world. She shares what we can do to elevate our consciousness and raise our money vibe so that we can have a better experience with money and create the conditions for it to flow more freely into our lives.

My second guest, Idaho 8th District Senator, Steven Thayn, is here to discuss how we can break the cycle of poverty and homelessness and empower individuals by improving education and making the education system more flexible, improving access to healthcare and the way it’s funded, and creating programs and approaches that help the poor pass through poverty.

Steven Thayn is a Republican Idaho State Senator and has been in the Idaho Legislature for 11 years.

He was responsible for the Advanced Opportunities program that provided educational opportunities for middle school and high school students.

Senator Thayn serves on the education commerce in human resource, joint finance, and appropriation committees as well, as in term committees to rewrite the funding formula for K-12 and others.

He is the author of 10 books that outline principles of prosperity and programs that help people achieve it, including “The Thayn Doctrine,” “Improving the Rx,” “Parent’s Guide to Idaho Education,” “A New Political Covenant,” “Reclaiming Health CARE,” “Prosperity,” “The Plan,” “Reprogramming Government,” “The Family,” and “Road to Venezuela."

Senator Thayn’s latest book, entitled “The Missing Element,” introduces proactive conservatism and explains how tapping into the resource of functional family units can stabilize society and reduce government spending.

He is a farmer and has been a dairy farmer for eighteen years. Senator Thayn has been married for forty years and is a father of eight children and has twenty-four grandchildren.
