085: Preparing Healthy Meals on a Budget with Shannon Dentice

In this episode of Saving With Steve, host Steve Sexton is joined by Shannon Dentice, a master certified health coach and the owner of E&E Health Coaching.

Many adults are busier than ever before; however, it is a myth that we don't have time to exercise or eat a healthy diet. My guest, Shannon Dentice, helps office professionals overcome frequent sitting, job stress, and office treat temptations so that they can gain enough energy to do what they love outside of work, and if desired, lose 10 or more pounds.

She joins us today to talk about healthy eating on a budget. Shannon shares how we can take control of our health and learn simple, effective strategies to help prevent disease, sharpen thinking, boost energy, and feel more vitalized through sustainable lifestyle changes, such as fitting in movement throughout the day, eating mostly whole foods while allowing for treats, and making sleep a priority.

Shannon Dentice is a Master Certified Health Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, and the owner of E&E Health Coaching. In addition, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Shannon received her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and educational specialist’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Shannon has always been interested in health and wellness and even had aspirations as a child to become a physician. While she changed her career path to pursue a different interest in the field of education, Shannon never let go of her fascination of how our lifestyle impacts our health and decided to pursue health coaching.

As a health coach, she is dedicated to helping adults find an effective healthy lifestyle that compliments their busy lives. Shannon appreciates that everyone is different and she loves the creativity involved in helping clients discover a plan that is sustainable for the long-term.

She helps professionals working in an office setting overcome frequent sitting, job stress, and office treat temptations so that they can gain energy to do what they love outside of work and lose ten or more pounds, if desired. Shannon's coaching programs include 1:1 and group coaching, wellness workshops, and corporate wellness programs.

In her free time, Shannon strives to keep balance in her own life by scheduling time to take walks, stretch or do yoga, read, paint, travel, and spend time with friends and family. She enjoys tweaking recipes to make them healthier while maintaining great flavor. "It is amazing how many things you can hide spinach in without even tasting it!"
